Day 1 Arrival

Warmly welcome by your guide upon arrival. Then transfer to the hotel for check-in. Free at your leisure. Tour highlights include the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image, the Kaba Aye World Peace Pagoda and the Mahapasana Guha/Cave (closed on Sat & Sun and Open at: 10:00 am – 04:00 pm but closed between 12:00 & 01:00 pm). Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. Then visit to the National Museum, Scott Market (closed on Monday and Public Holidays), the Sule Pagoda & environs, Chinatown and enjoy sunset at the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda (326 feet high), one of the most wonders of the world. Enjoy Thai buffet and Myanmar Cultural Variety Show at Kandawgyi Palace. Accommodation: Panorama Hotel or similar.

Day 2. Yangon –Bago (Pegu) –Yangon by car (B)

Make an excursion to Bago, which was once the capital of ancient Mon Kingdom. It is about 80 kilometers northeast of Yangon. Tour highlights include Bago Traditional Market, the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, the Hintha-gon Paya and Kanbawza Thardi Golden Palace, a replica of the Golden Palace built by King Bayintnaung. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha Image, the Mahazedi Pagoda with its impressive bell-shaped stupa/pagoda and the Kalyani Sima, this sacred hall of ordination was originally built by King Dhammazedi. Also visit a cheroot making workshop. Then return to Yangon. En route visit a pottery workshop and World War II Allied War Cemetery, which is situated near Htaukkyant. Enjoy your dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation: Panorama Hotel or similar.
